George Howe comes to The Front Porch directly from Davenport's Piano Bar and Cabaret, Chicago's premiere piano bar. His repertoire runs the gamut from Golden Age musical theatre to classic rock, Garth Brooks to One Direction with a bit of everything in between. He is the "Howe" part of "The Nitz and Howe Experience", Chicago's longest running cabaret act. George is on the adjunct faculty at the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) at Roosevelt University where he musical directs and teaches musical theatre history. He is also an award-winning composer-lyricist and has written the scores for over a dozen musicals, his latest being a musical adaptation of Jane Austen's "Northanger Abbey" which premiered earlier this spring at Lifeline Theatre in Chicago. George is a proud Connecticut yankee and is pleased to back on the civilized East Coast.
